Single mom Ellie and her six year old son, Brandon, are living without too much extra. Ellie recently got laid off from her job at a museum, and is in need of a new one. While at a tree farm one weekend, Ellie loses sight of Brandon. While looking for him, she runs into Reece Madsen, owner of the tree farm they’re at. Reece shows her where Brandon is at, and Ellie feels an instant attraction to him. He feels one towards her as well, and from there starts the process of Reece convincing Ellie that they would be a good match. While this book is a novella, I feel like it was very well developed, and I was invested in what was happening to the characters. Brandon was a cute little boy, and was probably one of the best characters in the book. Reece was as sweet as can be, and I loved his sister.

Overall this was a very good book, but I felt like there could have been more interactions between Brandon and Reece, and I feel like Reece and Ellie should have gotten to know each other a little bit better before jumping into the thick of things like they did.
